Requirements:

  • AOWD certification

Overview:

The Enriched Air Nitrox Diver Course teaches you to dive with air containing up to 40% oxygen instead of the standard 21%. Less nitrogen means longer no-stop dive times, shorter surface intervals, and less fatigue after multiple dives a day—which is exactly why it's one of the most popular specialty courses among liveaboard divers and anyone doing back-to-back dives in the Red Sea. By the end of the course, your main takeaway is simple: you'll know how to safely plan, analyze, and dive with Nitrox to get more bottom time out of every dive.

What You'll Learn

  • Oxygen analysis — using an oxygen analyzer to measure and verify gas percentages in scuba cylinders
  • Cylinder handling — learning proper cylinder labeling, markings, and gas handling procedures
  • Dive planning calculations — calculating Maximum Operating Depth (MOD) and Equivalent Air Depth (EAD)
  • Dive computer setup — configuring and programming dive computers for Nitrox mixes

Course Schedule

Morning — Theory Classroom session covering the benefits of Nitrox, oxygen exposure limits, and how enriched air affects your dive planning.

Midday — Hands-On Practical: Learn to use an oxygen analyzer to test your tank, and practice setting your dive computer for a Nitrox mix.

Afternoon — Review & Certification: Final knowledge review, Q&A, and issuing of your NDL Nitrox certification — no dives required.

Included

  • Course materials and theory session
  • Oxygen analyzer training
  • Instructor guidance and certification fee
  • Free Nitrox fills for up to 5 days after course completion
